Gem on a simple street.
This is a boutique hotel that is an exceptional beauty. The outside of the building did not reveal the gem inside. The rooms are lovely. The bathroom shower and amenities were above and beyond. Plenty cool at night and the most comfortable mattress I have had in a long time. I took pictures of the pillow because I could finally sleep without needing to prop pillows and fluff all night long. The pool was so beautiful and secluded right beyond the check in area. It was a slice of heaven at the end of my trip.

The stay was fantastic! Quiet neighborhood, comfy bed, exceptional service, fair price...I'd certainly stay here again on my next visit to La Paz. Which, I will be back to La Paz, as it turned out to be one of my favorite spots I've yet to find in MX.

Super cute place and Hector and the staff were really friendly. Bed was comfortable, great lighting, and shower was hot and had great water pressure - really comfortable! Loved the ambiance and the courtyard and all the small touches.

El hotel es hermoso, lleno de detalles que lo vuelven un lugar muy cálido y es pequeño así que puedes hacer uso de las amenidades sin problema y convivir con los demás huéspedes que en mi estancia fueron muy amigables. La ubicación es muy buena, esta a 5 calles del malecón y hay varios restaurantes y cafés cerca del hotel. Las calles de alrededor son seguras, en general la ciudad es muy segura, así que pudimos caminar tranquilos en la noche de salida y de regreso al hotel. Las personas que trabajan en el hotel son muy agradables y el dueño es muy amigable, procuran mucho saber si estás bien o si pueden mejorar tu estancia

This is a magical place!!! the working team is beyond fenomenal!
First I have to say OMG!!! this place was beyond phenomenal! Our beautiful lady who made our check in, the cleaning and was always in the morning with the biggest smile on the planet did such and incredible surprise that we will never forget for our 2 years anniversary celebration she decor our bed with such a lovely details an we are very grateful for this (I am very sorry that I didn't write her name) also the afternoon man he was very nice but we didn't saw him that much. The room decor was very special the luggage closet blow our minds away !

If the “all-inclusive” lifestyle isn’t for you, look no further. In all of our travels across the planet, this place just made it to our shortlist of BEST hotels. The Aquamarina is nearly brand new and is the perfect combination of modern comfort and Mexican charm. From the moment we walked through the front gate (completely exhausted from a long day of travel from the East Coast, USA), we were in love. Clean tiled floors, met crisp tidy rooms,…. yes, oh my god, yes, the bed is the most comfortable of any hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Everywhere you look, there are personally chosen details. The pool, plants, and fountain give it the feel of an oasis. The most amazing part is how quiet our room was, even street-side as we are now. The Malecon is just down the hill and is bumpin’ and honkin’ until 10-11pm. The Aquamarina however, is tucked up in a residential district and quiets down when the sun sets… not that it’s ever very noisy. With its own cafe (open from 8:30am-3:30pm), it’s still near several cafes, and just a few blocks from any restaurant type that you can imagine. The vegan places here in La Paz are out of the world, by the way. And the staff? What lovely people. Our Spanish is more Spanglish at this point in our studies, and the staff made every effort to communicate clearly with us…. All of us laughing the whole time. As a heads-up, if you’re booking your own diving & snorkeling, you will probably meet on the beach just at the bottom of the street or your shop will pick you up. The walk is easy and you can grab coffee/tea on the way. The Aquamarina’s staff even opened a little early for us to make sure we got breakfast before our dive. We hooked up with La Paz Divers for our dives and wow, what amazing experiences we had!!! If you need a covid test to get home, there’s a laboratory one block away. We recommend the Aquamarina with full confidence and offer them our sincere appreciation for such a lovely stay.

Es un lugar hermoso, con detalles de lujo , cómodo e ideal para disfrutar como si estuvieras en casa. La regadera tiene excelente presión de agua, hay aire acondicionado en la habitación,la alberca tiene temperatura ideal.. todo está cuidadosamente arreglado para disfrutar de lo mejor. Hector es un excelente anfitrión y estamos agradecidos con él… 100% recomendable!! 👌🏼

Only stayed for one night but loved it, the room was very clean and the shower was awesome. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was very nice.

Aquamarina is a lovely place to stay, and Hector is an excellent host. He is kind, accommodating, and speaks English which is great for non-Spanish speakers. The place itself is nicely decorated in a natural theme, and the seating area and shared pool are a bonus. There is a tiny attached restaurant that serves breakfast as well. Aquamarina sits back from the malecón about three streets which makes it quieter but within easy walking distance of all the restaurants on the waterfront. Don’t hesitate to book here!

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Aquamarina! The location and accommodations were perfect! We will definitely come back. If you need a comfy place to stay with great customer service (including the cafe next door) - this is the place for you in La Paz! Beautiful, boutique hotel close to everything. It’s in a residential neighborhood but you can easily walk to the Malecon. Plenty of street parking. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The pool area is a nice place to relax. All of the staff members were wonderful. I will stay here again.

Aquamarina is an oasis in La Paz. Every detail is so thoughtful and perfect, and every inch of Hector’s hotel is spotless! We had sound sleeps in comfortable beds and the pool /lounge area is the perfect place to unwind and spend an afternoon 🙂 There are plush towels to lie out on (kindly offered to us by Ms Betty) and a lovely little outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim! I could go on forever about how great of a stay we had- would definitely stay again, and would suggest Aquamarina to any friends visiting La Paz. Hector and his staff are kind, attentive and accommodating, we’re so glad we found this little gem of a hotel! Thank you again Hector!

Had an awesome, quick stay in Hector's spot - my only regret is that we didn't stay longer!! It's set up like a mini-hotel/bed-and-breakfast with the common sitting area and pool shared between the few rooms. It's new and incredibly well-maintained and clean. Due to Covid the bar and cafe attached weren't open - but you can tell that when things start to open up again it'll be a fantastic spot to end the hot day with a cold beer or cocktail and perfect for some early-morning coffee before whatever adventure awaits! It's in a great location - short ~10min walk from the Malecon/boardwalk where there's tons of activity and excitement. While you're very close to the town center there was always ample parking (if you rent a car) and felt very safe to walk around/was a pleasant walk to the boardwalk through quieter more residential streets. There were several restaurants + a fancy-looking wine bar within a couple of blocks that had good ratings - but we didn't have enough time to try 🙁 There are some Oxxo's and pharmacies within walking distance as well (which I always appreciate if there are any last-minute snack needs). Hector was a great host and made check-in and check-out easy and efficient - he was very responsive and helpful throughout our short stay. Was the perfect getaway for me and my partner and we're looking forward to the next time we visit La Paz so we can stay with Hector again!

This place is very cute and Hector the owner is really friendly and welcoming. The common areas and the restaurant close to the bedrooms, makes the environment come together in a harmonious way. It feels like you are staying in a home, you can see the love in all the sailing decoration details around. We enjoyed our stay very much.
